Council of Presidents of Azerbaijan and Ukraine holds third meeting

 
 
Baku – APA. The third meeting of the Council of Presidents of Azerbaijan and Ukraine has been held in Baku on April 28.

Members of the Azerbaijani and Ukrainian delegations attended the meeting, APA reports. Addressing the participants of the meeting, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said that this was Victor Yanukovich’s first visit to Azerbaijan as the President of Ukraine. He expressed confidence that the visit will be successful and achieve good results: “We determined the main directions of the cooperation between our countries. We are rapidly moving forward in all directions. The inter-governmental commission is working usefully and the political dialogue is developing. In our one-on-one meeting today we discussed the comprehensive agenda of our relationship. But the agenda coordinated today will be discussed at the meeting of the Council of Presidents too. This is very comprehensive, detailed and concrete agenda. I believe that we will determine further steps in the development of relation on the basis of the results of the Council of Presidents’ meeting. We highly appreciate these relations and we believe that further development of the Azerbaijan-Ukraine relations will promote the extension of regional cooperation”.

In his turn, President of Ukraine noted that the two countries are long-term partners: “I would say that this is a brilliant example of the relations between two very close countries”.
