As a result of search operations conducted by the Moscow police, three Azerbaijani members of a criminal gang, who are suspected of abducting a 26-year-old Azerbaijani businessman in May 2015, were detained. The criminals also demanded $10 million from the businessman’s family for his release.
“They were detained in one of the villages of Solnechnogorsk district of Moscow region. They are 29, 46 and 48-year old Azerbaijani citizens. Abducted man was released,” said the statement from Russia’s Interior Ministry.
According to the ministry, Makarov pistol and cartridges were seized from their house.
The criminal case was launched on the fact, investigation is underway. Law enforcement agencies are investigating whether the gang is involved in other crimes or not./apa/
